Getting There

Mazeppa Sunrise is located on the east coast of South Africa in Mazeppa Bay - right on the sea. It has a relaxed holiday atmosphere and a number of beautiful beaches.

Getting here is an adventure.  That is how we like you to experience this wild and wonderful drive that you have to tackle with a SUV, and not cars that’s low like a BMW. Make sure your cell phone battery is charged for your GPS connection, because during this 57km drive, there is only one road sign towards Mazeppa and you will need Google Maps as assistance. The best road is 10km north of Butterworth on the N2, turn off towards the east, at the Shell Fuelling Station in eBika. This is also a good pitstop to fill up your tank, deflate your tyres to 2 bars and buy your last essentials at the Spar. Now sit back, relax and enjoy Africa, isn’t this why you chose the Wild Coast? The rest of the journey is a gravel road with potholes, it is off the beaten track, scenic, and an experience.  Be in the moment, watch out for the big five – pigs, cows, dogs, sheep and goats!  Be patient and kind to the pedestrians, it is there home. Mazeppa Bay Hotel is at the end of this road. Turn left at the T-junction at Mazeppa and continue another 1000meters, we're the second last property on the right. Hmmm, smell that sea air.
